Possum Kingdom Recap

We spent the weekend at our friend's lake house at Possum Kingdom and we had such a blast. Sadly, I did not take any good pictures but here is a rundown of events:

• Caught up with great friends...some even flew in from D.C
• TONS of eating & drinking {tons of La Croix for me}
• One crazy game of credit card roulette {with 11 people btw}
• Many, many conversations about bath salts and zombies..Can we talk about this please??
• Soaking up the sun at the pool and out on the boat
• Very late nights with lots of dancing and singing especially to Wilson Phillips and "Call Me Maybe" btw have you seen this??

Wardrobe In"vest"ment & A Guest Post

You know those pieces you always want to get but never actually end up buying them? The jean vest has always been one of those pieces for me, but then I saw this picture on Pinterest and just about died. See, I always thought once I bought a jean jacket, I would put it on over a dress, feel really nerdy and then just shove it back in my closet, but this look is perfection!! Now I am on a mission to get a jean vest and hopefully look at least 50% as cool as this lady looks!

To Dye For:

Whether it's a ombre electric green blazer or tie dyed jeans, I am obsessed with all things dyed! While I lusted over the Dries van Noten dip dyed & ombre back looks in Spring 2011, there was no way I could justify spending $$. Luckily Zara caught on to the trend and has made the look much more accessible. And btw, what is cuter than that Zara clutch {number 5}!??! Next is the tie dye. Lately, I have been dying for a pair of  tie dye jeans and then of course I saw Olivia P wearing a pair which of course look amazing and it made me want some even more! I may have to get some cutoffs instead to beat the heat in Dallas!
